You’ll learn everything you need to know to create video: the fundamentals of the interface, importing and organising material, creating and refining edits, working with audio, working with effects, adding titles, and exporting for distribution.
We won’t focus on the technical aspect, but on “how to get things done”, using real world video materials.
Premiere Pro is an amazing creative tool, that allows us to create compelling video content by ourselves, in a way that is accessible to everybody.
This workshop is designed for students with no previous experience, coming from different backgrounds: film students, photographers, designers, artists, and all other kind of creatives.
STUDENT REQUIREMENTS
Students must bring their laptops (Mac or PC), with an installed version of Premiere Pro CC. A fully functional demo of the software may be downloaded from the Adobe website.

Projects, Media & Organisation
Starting the application.
Creation of projects. Project and media organisation. Project settings.
Sequence settings. Video formats, explained.
Interface description. Windows and workspaces.
Importing material. Media Browser.
How to organise elements inside the project window.
Footage interpretation.
Video and audio synchronisation.
PART TWO: Editing
Editing video and audio separately.
Editing and trimming in the timeline.
How to move, erase and trim video and audio.
Timeline Tools: track select, ripple edit and razor tool.
Grouping and nesting clips.
PART THREE: Effects and Colour Correction
Clip properties: position, scale, rotation, anchor point, opacity, blend modes.
Video animation: using keyframes to animate clips.
Video effects: use of most common effects and animation of effects with keyframes.
Stabilisation.
Color correction: Lumetri Color
Using adjustment layers.
Managing effects: copying and removing effects between clips.
Nesting.
Video and audio transitions.
PART FOUR: Titles, Export, Project Management
Creating and animating titles.
Exporting media for distribution.
Exporting using Adobe Media Encoder.
